Earth Day
On Earth Day, two classes from Tri-County Career Center united forces to give the Earth a hand (or 60!).  Mrs. Steven’s Science Class and Mrs. Goodman’s Communication Class picked up about 15 large bags of trash from County Rd. 4 (near Movies 10) and prepared over 25 tires, a couch, a mattress and carpet to be taken away by the Township and disposed of in the proper way.  While the students and teachers spent nearly an hour and a half picking up trash and pulling the invasive species, garlic mustard, many students wanted to stay longer to fully finish the job.  Despite finding mud, ants and the occasional tick, the students and teachers both seemed to enjoy themselves.  Many students suggested that more TCCC classes or even the whole school periodically take some time from classes to help pick up pollution along the roadside of nearby roads.  Students in Mrs. Goodman’s class were asked to reflect a bit on the experience in order to share with others.  Here’s what they had to say:
